About Us

TCM’s history dates back to 1973 as a corporate caterer in Westchester County.  In the 1990s the company expanded to the management and operations of over 14 corporate cafeterias in the New York metro area where it served over 3,000 people a day out of its commissary kitchen, while simultaneously provided on-site catering directly to offices, schools, and and other businesses. 

 

In 2008, the TCM took on a Homeland Security contract to develop a concept to serve the Immigration Detention Center in New York City, by preparing over 1,000 hot meals off premise and from scratch each day.  This began the food production and manufacturing arm of the company.  Over the next 5 years, we expanded to serving numerous Meals on Wheels programs, provided again over 3,000 hot meals a day to serve most of the borough of Queens, as well as multiple Meals on Wheels locations throughout NYC.  At this same time, TCM expanded to take on food co-manufacturing for multiple meal companies offering fresh prepared meal delivery services.

At that time, TCM was creating over 10,000 meals a day ranging from Meals on Wheels to high-end gourmet meal delivery services including Chef's Diet and Sakara Life.  Currently TCM operates its own meal delivery service under the Top Chef Meals brand, delivering over 12,000 meals a week nationally. 

In the last eight years we  have expanded our food co-manufacturing business, producing over 10,000 lbs of packaged food a day. ​​
